Vaughn Wascovich, Assistant Professor of Photography at A&M-Commerce
Vaughn Wascovich is a fine art photographer and photographic educator with over twenty years experience as a commercial photographer. He has worked with a number of Fortune 500 companies as well as major advertising agencies.
He received his MFA from Columbia College Chicago and has taught photography classes there as well as at the University of Missouri. He is currently teaching at Texas A&M University-Commerce and has also held the appointment of Visiting Scholar with the Harvard School of Public Health since 2004.

Greg Mitchell, Director of Libraries at A&M-Commerce
Greg Mitchell has established the new Digital Library, which has garnered much attention across campus and in the surrounding community. Even better for the Converging Literacies Center: his experience and expertise with this project enabled us to pursue hosting the new National Conversation on Writing (see minutes from the November 2007 CLiC meeting).

Dr. Matthei received her PhD in Anthropology from the University of California-Irvine and teaches courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in World Cultures, Social Class, Wealth & Power, Global Social Issues, Social Anthropology, Social Problems, Gender in Cross-Cultural Perspective, Urban Sociology & Anthropology, Marriage and Family, Gender in Comparative & Historical Perspective, Readings in Sociology, Sociology in Global Perspective, and Medical Sociology

Leah Wickersham, Associate Professor of Education
Areas of Interest: Educational Technology and related issues
Dr. Wickersham received her PhD at Texas A&M University (College Station). At A&M-Commerce, she teaches graduate courses onsite, offsite and online in the Educational Technology program within the Department of Educational Leadership; provides leadership and training for program electronic portfolio implementation and evaluation; provides leadership and training for design and development of online alternative certification program for secondary certification.

Salvatore Attardo, Professor and Head of the Department of Literature and Languages at A&M-Commerce
Areas of Interest: Pragmatics, Semantics, Sociolinguistics, Computational Linguistics, Humor Research (Dr. Attardo is the editor of Humor: International Journal of Humor Research)
Salvatore Attardo comes to us from Youngstown State University, where he was Professor of English and Coordinator of the English as a Second Language Program. He holds a PhD in Linguistics/English from Purdue University and a Doctorate in French Language and Literature/Linguistics from Catholic University of Milan, Italy.
