To staff involved in distance-ed, off-campus, or web-based courses:
The Gee Library at A&M-Commerce offers a number of outreach services to
assist students, staff, and faculty who are located far away from our main
campus. These services include:
(1)	The library web site Information about the library and services can be

(2)	The "Off-campus Library Services" web page
Part of the library's web site, this page provides information to help
A&M-Commerce students, staff, and faculty access library services and
resources from places outside the main campus. It can accessed from the
library's home page or at the URL:
http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/libdist/

(3)	Database access off-campus
Off-campus students, staff, and faculty can access our library databases
(many of which include full-text articles) by using the proxy server.  More
information about how to do this can be found at the following web page:
http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/library/proxy1.htm
To use the proxy server, you will need the current username and password.
You can obtain the username and password by asking at the library's
reference desk, calling the reference desk at (903) 886-5720, or emailing
me (you can use the email address at the end of this message). We WILL need
to verify that you are employed by the university.
Remember: the databases are to be used only by A&M-Commerce faculty, staff,
and students. The password changes every semester, so you should contact me
(or the Reference Department) to get the new one when necessary.

(4)	Help for using the databases
The library provides a web-based Database Help "booklet" - it is especially
useful if you don't know which database to choose. You can access this
information at:

(5)	The Outreach Librarian

off-campus students, staff, and faculty, as well as publicizing already
