TITLE:

A lesson in Creative Problem Solving

SUBJECT:

Almost any program of studies.

GRADE LEVEL:

This lesson is appropriate for college level students.

OBJECTIVES:

1. To use the Internet to locate and engage in email discussion a person who is a recognized author on a subject you are currently studying. The focus of the discussion should be one of the author's works.


2. To learn to keep an effective journal.


3. To develop an analyze problem solving strategies.

RESOURCES/MATERIALS:

• A computer system with software to send and receive electronic mail and access the World Wide Web.


• An account with an email service.

ACTIVITIES:

1. Investigate the Curriculum Resources page as a starting point.


2. Keep a record of all your activities in a journal.


3. Keep all email related to the assignment.


4. Send a daily email message to your instructor summarizing your activities and reflecting on what you have done.

FOLLOW-UP:

This activity will continue for an entire semester. Additional direction will be provided to each student idividually as required.
