Deneena's Dynamic and Dynamite Web Page

Computers are a necessity in our daily lives, like any other household appliance. Using computers, especially for educational purposes, have made learning fun for students. In addition, computers gives teachers the opportunity to use their own unique methods of teaching, as oppose to the traditional style of teaching.

My name is Deneena Thomas and currently, I work at Foley's at Town East Mall as a Sales Associate in the Jr. Dept. I received my undergraduate degree at East Texas State University in May, 1995 with a BBA in Operations Management. I am working on a Masters degree in Educational Technology at ETSU. What I hope to accomplish with my BBA and Educational Technology degree is to aim at a career that will allow me to use the skills that I have attained in both business management and Computer Technology. I have various interests. One of my interests is Phi Delta Kappa , which I serve as treasurer for the ETSU chapter. This organization is the National Fraternity for Educators. I also sing soprano for the award winning New Birth Gospel Chorale, which is also on the ETSU campus. New Birth Gospel Chorale placed first in the large choir division at the National Baptist Student Retreat, which was held in Memphis, TN on March 27-30, 1996. The singing competition, which is one of the main attractions of the retreat, has choirs from universities all over the United States. Last, but not least, this subject is extremely important to me, next to God. I consider African-American History, especially about African-American women, one of the most important and least taught subjects. This interest became very real to me when I wanted to do a unique CAI or Computer-Assisted Instruction project. I found so much information on many African-American women and their contribution to American society.
