- To gain an understanding of jazz language and concepts.
- To survey the history of the development of jazz.
RESOURCES/MATERIALS:
- Jazz Records, Jazz Cds, and Jazz cassettes.
- Record player, CD player, and Cassette player.
- Earphones.
ACTIVITIES:
- Students will listen to various types of jazz and deceipher the differences.
FOLLOW-UP:
There will be class discussions about jazz, the various types, and how jazz changed from the time of the Harlem Renaissance until today.
