Technology has an important role in today's classroom. Thinking skills, imagination, and problem solving are all fostered by the use of computers. They inspire students to experiment and assume an active role in their own education. This leads to life long learning, a very worthy goal for the educational community to aspire to.
The past twenty years of my work experience have been teaching either kindergarten or first grade. I really enjoyed those years! Next year will find me in a new position as the technology specialist for K-4 elementary school. I received my B.S. in education from the University of Texas at El Paso. My M.A. from East Texas State University was in early childhood. I am also certified in supervision and gifted and talented education.
