Literature Art/English; Multiculturalism
GRADE LEVEL
OBJECTIVES:
- The students will be able to describe and explain characters in the literature
- The student will be able to compare and contrast different events in the literature
- The student will be able to study the cultures of the liturature
- The student will be able to evaluate the similarities and differences within the cultures.
RESOURCES/MATERIALS:
- Computers
- Access to the Internet or WWW
- The novel Invisible Man
- Spiral Notebook
- Pencil and Paper
ACTIVITIES:
- The students will read in class a two chapters a day.
- The students will then be placed in groups and discuss the story
- The students will go to the computer lab and access the Internet for information on The Invisible Man.
- Each student will keep a journal and write responses to the story.
- Students will present a report on the story.
FOLLOW-UP:
Evaluation will be done in four ways: teacher's examinations, quizzes, homework assignments and class participation. Provided additional instruction: reading assignments will be given daily. Activities are as such: in-class group projects and games
