TITLE

The Invisible Man

SUBJECT

Literature Art/English; Multiculturalism

GRADE LEVEL

7-12

OBJECTIVES:

1. The students will be able to describe and explain characters in the literature


2. The student will be able to compare and contrast different events in the literature


3. The student will be able to study the cultures of the liturature


4. The student will be able to evaluate the similarities and differences within the cultures.

RESOURCES/MATERIALS:

• Computers


• Access to the Internet or WWW


• The novel Invisible Man


• Spiral Notebook


• Pencil and Paper



ACTIVITIES:

1. The students will read in class a two chapters a day.


2. The students will then be placed in groups and discuss the story


3. The students will go to the computer lab and access the Internet for information on The Invisible Man.


4. Each student will keep a journal and write responses to the story.


5. Students will present a report on the story.



FOLLOW-UP:

Evaluation will be done in four ways: teacher's examinations, quizzes, homework assignments and class participation. Provided additional instruction: reading assignments will be given daily. Activities are as such: in-class group projects and games
