Secondary Internet Applications
Ambition
Give students and teachers Internet skills for which they can use in their course work. Modeled for a Junior High Computer Literacy teacher to be the basic node of the Internet training. I have included some Junior High Science activities to show how the Internet could be used in a typical class room.
Why use the Internet within the school curriculum?
Benefits of using the Internet are its lack of geographic boundaries, capability to let people communicate, forcing people to communicate in written form, relatively low cost, capacity to bring people together with similar interests, and it offers instant gratification.
Let the Internet be your teacher!
My philosophy is to let the learner experience as much as possible. Why not let the Internet be your teacher? This Web presentation uses many Web links in the context of key issues. Of course the Internet is a violate place, so a link might not always be available. Alternative methods are described to facilitate the dynamic nature of the Internet.
