MULTICULTURAL MADNESS
We are living in a culturally
diverse world. Schools are becoming global in scope because of technology. Multicultural education is
the component are children need to succeed in the 21st century. Our children need to learn how to live
and communicate in a cultural diverse society. In order for our children to meet the challenge, they must
become culturally aware. In order for our children to become culturally aware, they must be exposed to
some form of multicultural education. In order for our children to be exposed to multicultural education,
teachers must find ways to integrate and enhance the curriuculum. I teach multicultural awareness
through speech communication and it is as easy as mixing a recipe. The school is the pan , technology
is the mixing bowl, and the Internet is one of the ingredients in cooking a multicultural curriculum, then
you add students with open minds and the ability to think (THIS INCLUDES ALL STUDENTS) and you
will have a finished dish that will ENHANCE ANY MEAL.
