Integrating Computers in Middle School Lesson Plans
TITLE:
Teaching Sequence Using Hyperstudio.
SUBJECT:
GRADE LEVEL:
OBJECTIVES:
- TLW create a hyperstudio stack.
RESOURCES/MATERIALS:
- Journals.
- Completed story boards.
- Class computers with Hyperstudio.
- OPTIONAL: contents of peanut butter sandwich
ACTIVITIES:
- Students will complete a journal entry of your choice.
- Students will present story boards they made previously.
- Pass out peanut butter sandwich materials. Ask students to tell you the steps in making a peanut butter sandwich and do EXACTLY what they say. You will find that some students do things out of order. This is reiterating the importance of sequence and the students all have a snack while working on the computers.
- Using the correct steps students will each create their own hyperstudio presentation. Each student will use their story board as a guide..(Depending on experience you may have to go through each step with the students the first time.
FOLLOW-UP:
The students will each present their hyperstudio activity to the class.
