Technology Grants for Schools

he internet is a wonderful resource for conducting research. On it one can find books, reports, results of studies, reference materials, and current demographic information. One can talk on-line or e-mail someone who is an authority on a particular subject. The list of possibilities goes on and on.

s an elementary teacher, I have been using the research capabilities of the internet to look for grant money to assist my school in upgrading our current technology program. On this page I have listed some areas and activities to assist others who might have a similar interest.

Money Matters: U.S. Department of Education guidelines, regulations, and funding opportunities.
Federal Register: Federal listing containing grants, including Goals 2000; updated on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Tenet Mini-Grants: Grants provided by the Texas Education Network to educators wishing to incorporate telecomputing into education.
Telecommunications Infrastructure Funds: Information about TIF grants funded by the State of Texas.
Challenge Grants for Technology in Education: Sponsored by the U.S. Dept. of Education--for educators implementing technology teaching applications.
