Technology in Teaching

The internet is a great resource for today's educators. Specific skills are essential as teachers bring the online environment into their classrooms.

Procedural skills help teachers learn to use Internet tools.
Instructional skills help teachers find specific resources and integrate them into the classroom.
Professional skills help teachers learn from, and share information with, other educators.

NOTE: This page was created during a workshop as a collaboration between
Sue Espinoza at Texas A&M University-Commerce and LeAnn McKinzie at West Texas A&M University.

Each link includes a miniaturazition of a graphic from the target page. (Resizing graphics was part of the workshop.) If you have a slow connection, you might want to turn off image-loading.

If you have suggestions for additional links in either of the three above categories, we would appreciate it if you would send the URL to either Sue Espinoza or LeAnn McKinzie .

We have also created a brief form to help us determine our target audience, see how we should improve this page, and find out how YOU feel about the role of the Internet in education. Your responses help us develop this into a comprehensive interactive resource for educators.
