- In /home there is a tar and gzip of all of the source code for the
  book:
        /home/unpv1e3.tar.gz

- make a new directory in your account 

- copy this file to your new directory

- tar and unzip the file

- read the README and follow the instructions for configuring and 
  building the code

- make the daytimetcpcli and taytimetcpsrv in the intro directories

- change the client/server to use port 10013 (rather than 13) start
  your server and try and connect with it from your client
