October 2007 - Arturo presents a talk on "Neutrino scattering off Fe" at the APS meeting - Section Texas - Texas A&M University, College Station, October 2007.

November 2007 - Arturo presents a talk on "Neutrino-Nucleus Cross Section in the Gross Theory at the meeting "Nuclear Many-Body Approaches for the 21st Century" - Institute for Nuclear Theory, University of Washington, Seattle November 2007.

December 2007 -Junting's talk "What happens in non-inertial frames?" won the first prize in the Physics Student Research Seminar at TamuC.

July 2008 - Arturo presents a talk on "Comparison of RPA-like models in Neutrino-Nucleus Processes" at the meeting "Atomic, Chemical and Nuclear Developments in Coupled Cluster Methods" Institute for Nuclear Theory, University of Washington, Seattle July2008.

October 2008 - Arturo and Junting participate at the American Physical Society Meeting in Oakland, CA, October 23-26, 2009. Arturo presented a talk on "Dectection of supernova neutrinos with neutrino-iron scattering" and Junting presented a talk on "Non-inertial effects in reactions of astrophysical interest".

March 2009 - Junting gives a series of lectures (15, 1 hour each) to students in middle- and high-schools around Commerce. He explained how science is done at universities and brought advanced scientific concepts to teenagers. Junting was featured on the Campus News, March Issue, for his outstanding performance as a teacher. Junting says that he discovered that "middle-schoolers are much more interested in science than high-schoolers. Somewhen along the way, they loose their interest on scientific issues". On April Junting brought about 50 middle-school students to visit the Physics Department at TamuC.

April 2009 - Taylor Bailey, Ashley Golden, Junting Huang, Arturo Samana and Karthik Ushkala are seminar speakers at the Texas A&M Annual Research Symposium on April 1, 2009.

April 2009 - Ashley Golden's talk on "Study of Muon capture process using the QRAP code" wins second prize in the category of Undergraduate Students at the Texas A&M Annual Research Symposium on April 1, 2009.

April 2009 - Junting Huang's talk on "Radiative capture of protons and neutrons at astrophysical energies" wins first prize in the category Graduate Students at the Texas A&M Annual Research Symposium on April 1, 2009.

May/June 2009 - Junting and Arturo participate (Arturo presented a talk) at the workshop on Effective Field Theory at the INT, University of Washington, Seattle.

June 2009 - Arturo and Karthik participate in the UNEDF/SciDAC meeting at Pack Forest, organised by the University of Washington, Seattle.

August 2009 - Arturo becomes a professor at Ilheus, Brazil. Junting and Ashley graduate.

September 2009 - Taylor and Biao join the group as graduate students.

September 2009 - Dr. Wenhui Long joins the group as a Postdoctoral associate.

October 2009 - Carlos, Taylor, Biao, Wenhui and Weikang (Bao-An Li's student) travel to the Texas State University in San Marcos to participate for 2 days in the APS meeting - Section Texas.
