WHAT
IS TABE?
The Texas Association of
Broadcast Educators
(TABE) is an organization representing the interests of professors and
educators who teach broadcasting courses at colleges, universities and
community colleges across Texas.
Each year in the fall, the
association
holds a general meeting in conjunction with the convention of the Texas
Association of Broadcasters. In the spring, TABE members gather
to present papers on issues dealing with broadcasting and education.
TABE
publishes a newsletter for its members to keep them informed and to
serve
as a forum for exchanging ideas. The association assists students by
directing
them toward available scholarships, providing guest speakers to
supplement
course curriculum and offering interaction with other broadcasting
majors
throughout the state.
